Carney Hall was the fourth building built
on the campus in 1917 and was the home to the science department
and the home economics department.. It was designed by
state architect, Charles H. Changler and was built at a
cost of $270,000 and included a 2000 seat auditorium. The
building was named in honor of Governor Carney, Kansas
