310 East Tenth
- photo courtesy Dorothy Benskin, Crawford County Genealogical Society

The Mt. Hebron Baptist Church began with a small group of citizens in 1886, applying for a charter on June, 6 1888. The first site of the church was a rented house at Second and Olive followed by time in another house between Fifth and Sixth on Walnut and the basement of the old City Hall. The church above was built in 1919 at a cost of $18,000 and has been used by the congregation till about 2003 when they built a new building at 710 N. Elm.
